Every human body is an example of perfect unity as one body in collaboration with all its members particularly body, mouth, eye, nose and ear. From the moment of conception the body of the Child enjoys the support of the Mother’s body until it is born as a separate body. In a way there is a natural bond between the body of the Mother and Child with the body of the Father, Hence the humanity as a whole need to work like ONE BODY (ORUDAL) as the body of the United Nations or as well as other world bodies.
The Charitable Society of the “Missionaries of Charity” within a span of 50 years it has grown as “ONE WORLD BODY” with more than 5000 Sisters serving the “Poorest of the Poor” in 130 countries.
The world body of United Nations has recognised the services of the Missionaries of Charity as a model for working in network throughout the world as one body.
In the same way the “Punidha Annai Teresa Orudal Dharuma Surabhi (PATODS)” visualised as one Global Body of Charity starting from Family Charity Groups.
Dharuma Surabhi means charity should flow from every family naturally and systematically throughout the world like milk is flowing from Cows throughout the world.

The Founder and Promoter of Punidha Annai Teresa Orudal Dharuma Surabhi (PATODS) Rev.Fr.A.S.Antonisamy, had a long time association with Mother Teresa was reflecting on her source and strength of Charity, He found out that the Charity of Christ was urging in her to do heroic charities. St.Francis of Assisi was another instrument for her decision to change her way of life to serve the Poorest of the Poor.
Inspired by the network of her charitable institutions and by the inspiring words of Pope Francis on charity, the founder realised that there are thousand ways of doing charity. The charity is social and political inclusive of all people. Hence, he has coined the word “Dharuma Surabhi” to implement the aspirations of all the “Heroes of Charity.” As the cows are yielding milk as Amudha Surabhi for the well being of the people throughout the world, the charity of all the Individuals and Families must be able to fulfil all the “Global Needs.”
